I've tried almost everything including things like Klein from steel tape to fiberglass, etc. This fishing tape is a beauty. High-quality metal lead coupled with a line that is coated as well as hard to break yet flexible. The reel itself has a spring so that it automatically retracts. The only downside is that there seems to be no way to really "lock" the reel to make pulling using the enclosure easier so the line keeps coming out unless you hold things tight. This thing can take a beating though since if it is a competition between the lead and the head during hard pulls...the head always fails. Looking forward to trying out their other higher end reels since this will most likely be our go to brand.
