IN THE BOX The Mixed colors box comes with 14 pieces of nominal 1/2" x 6" x 48" (Actual 3/8" x 5 7/16" x 48") real wood, made up of 7 different colors. HOW IT'S MADE CdA Wood’s patent process accelerates the natural aging of wood, achieving the beauty and character that would take Mother Nature decades to accomplish. CdA Wood reached this achievement by exposing the raw lumber to a specific combination of sun, soil, water and wind. The wood responds with a look that exposes its natural colors and a feel that is indistinguishable from reclaimed wood. This proprietary procedure cannot be found anywhere else on the market today. Furthermore, CdA Wood’s breakthrough process incorporates a germicidal technology that destroys all contaminates in the wood. As a result, CdA Wood’s product represents the SAFEST ALTERNATIVE TO RECLAIMED WOOD, because there is no risk of being exposed to off-gassing of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) associated with lead paint or numerous other stains and treatments. A MODERN RUSTIC FACELIFT Accent Wall in A Box can be a perfect way to break up a large room, to emphasize a particularly great architectural feature, liven’ up a wall, or to instill a sense of the extraordinary in an otherwise ordinary space. It’s the wall you notice first when you enter a room – due to its distinct color, texture or other eye-catching detail. An accent wall provides an immediate ‘draw’ and can be used in just about any room, including the kitchen, hallway, fireplace, bathroom, shelves, around windows or on the ceiling. Accent walls are truly a flexible and inexpensive way to perk up a dull space. The possibilities are endless - create georgous decorative office paneling, a bathroom accent covering, a creative headboard, or a barnwood look in any of your bedrooms. All this while knowing that the wood is safe to use anywhere you want!

The boards turned out really nice but a fair amount were copied a bit making it a little tricky to get them tight together... Also there were many fewer bleached or lighter colored boards. So had to order extra box just to get a few more. But overall finished product looks greatWanted something bold for a kitchen wall that looked like someone painted over half peeled off sheet rock paper or wallpaper. Hadn't seen anyone do this for a kitchen wall so took a risk. Easy going up but a few pointers...1. Their website to plan the wall did not work. Had hoped it was a "drag & drop" option to plan colors but didn't work on Smart Phone or large tablet. The website did come out with a pattern based on our wall size which was a bit helpful but spacing out the colors was time consuming.2. Have some glue for the ends of boards not being nailed into studs.3. Count, inspect and separate all board colors, there will be a few uneven or slightly damaged boards (like a knick in the corner, natural knot that caused a small hole, etc.) that are great to cut for smaller pieces. We had 5 boxes of mixed colors and probably 4 boards had imperfections but still got used.4. They can cause splinters so if in an area where kids (or adults) might touch then you may want to polyurethane and will need 2 coats of water based (I didn't want shine) and does alter the grey color to a bit darker.Materials used were brad nails/gun, level, gorilla glue/adhesive, and small hand saw.Totally worth it and quick installation! The color of the boards are great and just what I was looking for. My only complaint is that some of the boards were cupped so they won't lay flat up against the wall. I can still use the boards but it's a let down after spending over $120.Although they do look good, most if not all of the pieces where cupped and warped creating big gaps had to run all the pieces through table saw to make them straight these are not for a novice as extra work is needed would not buy again to much money for all the extra work neededStill in the process of installing as it is not as straightforward as you may be enticed to think. You will need to paint your wall black or a dark color as there will be some small gaps. A piece of literature inside the box suggests that you could staple landscape fabric to the wall in lieu of painting which in hindsight may have been easier. We are installing on a wall with windows so there will be numerous cuts needed and some contour/profile cust needed. Numerous warped or cupped boards, stain missing from edges makes me think that there is a need for better quality control. What have I had to buy to complete the install? Paint, contour gauge profile tool, four different colors of wood stain, a jigsaw to cut the contours in four places. Fortunately, I have a circular saw that can be used to rip the boards as needed for proper width.12/14/21 Update: Have completed the install. Ran out of product but found the exact same thing made by the same manufacturer - CDA Wood at Home Depot for 60% less at $2.11 per sq ft vs. Amazon at $5.39 per sq ft Due to the "fraction math" needed to fit our wall, I purchased a small table saw that made ripping to the correct width when needed much easier. We like how it turned out but wish I would have looked at Home Depot too as I could have saved $246!!!I absolutely love the look of this product. The first project we did was the hallway and it came out beautifully. You will need to cut, glue and staple. The boxes we received fir the first project was perfectly mixed. However, the second project we did- the big wall you see- the boxes were not mixed well and we received the same colors. Not enough brown in these boxes. We also used a carpenter because of how much cutting we had to do. We don’t have the tools. I have it a 4 because the lack of colors in the second boxes we ordered. Other than that, it turned out wonderful and again the product durability itself is fantastic.I don’t normally write reviews, but I had to for this! This product is amazing!!! We wanted the shiplap look but didn’t wanna fork over the insane amount of money. We looked at the peel and sticks - and almost purchased those - however, we liked the look of this much better. It’s real wood, thick, and each piece is unique - which gives the wall character! We used construction strength liquid nails to attach to the wall - and the planks aren’t going anywhere. They cut easily too (we used an electric jigsaw)! It did take us the whole day to do since we had to measure, cut, then liquid nail each plank (and neither of us have ever used any sort of saw before, so that’s likely why)! This is an amazing product and look for this price point.
